When are the games?
The athletics portion of the games will take place on July 19-22

Where are the games?

In the Peace Region Alberta - Peace River.  Athletes will be staying in Grimshaw

Am I eligible to compete?
If you reside in the zone 5 region and fall into the age categories of midget or juvenile (youth) you are eligible! This includes:
Midget - 15 & under (born in 1995 or 1996)
Juvenile - 17 & under (born in 1993 or 1994)
** all ages as of Dec 31, 2010

I am trying out for Legion Nationals, am I eligible for these trials and games?
Yes you are. If you are selected to the Alberta Legion team which takes place in August 2010, you are eligible to compete at the Alberta Summer Games in your age category, as the National competition takes place after the summer games.

I have been a member of the Alberta National Legion team in the past, am I eligibile?
If you competed for the Alberta Legion team, your eligibility will depend on your age. If you competed at Legion nationals in the past as a midget, you will be required to compete at the Alberta Summer games as a juvenile athlete. If you competed at Legion nationals as a juvenile aged athlete, you will not be eligibile to compete in the Alberta Summer games.

The zone 5 Athletics team will consist of 40 members. 20 male and 20 female. Additionally, we will try to balance the team with equal numbers of midget and juvenile aged athletes, though sometimes this is not possible and we will do our best!

If you have more questions, please email!
Thanks and have a great weekend!
